Despite its illustrious history, YOU can grow them at home with your Glow-in-the-Dark Mushroom Science Kit. Your kit includes everything you need to grow your own Faerie Fire. You also get two wonderful information packed study booklets, one tells you more about the science behind bioluminescence, its lore, other species, and its place in nature. The other booklet explains how a mushroom becomes a mushroom and how mushroom mycelium spreads and colonizes substrates like your tissue paper that's included in your kit!.

The boxes used to package our kits are 100% recycled fibers. Approximately 80% of this is composed of post-consumer recovered fiber. Boxes are 100% recyclable. Made in the USA

The tissue paper used in our kits is 100% reclaimed sugarcane fiber, and wheat fiber enhanced with bamboo. Sugarcane fiber, bagasse, is a discarded by-product of sugar production, generally disposed of by burning—sending plumes of greenhouse gasses into the air.

Yet, it’s ideal for papermaking. Bagasse is denser in cellulose fiber than wood pulp, producing the same amount of paper with fewer raw materials, less water, less energy and less waste. And, bagasse is renewable in cycles of less than 1 year—whereas trees take 7 to 10 years, and the mushrooms love to eat it up!
